‘Zorro’ marred by hammy portrayals
MANILA, Philippines – Last March 23, GMA 7 fielded it’s big, new teleserye to challenge ABS-CBN’s hit series, “May Bukas Pa,” on the prized evening time slot.
Will Richard Gutierrez’s new starrer topple ABS-CBN’s bet? If it doesn’t, it certainly won’t be from lack of trying on GMA 7’s part.

American idol Season 7 winner David Cook cancelled two shows of his Declaraction Concert tour.
The two venues are Colby Sawyer College and the South Connecticut University. According to his official website, they are canceling the shows to “allow David time to deal with personal family matters”.

Melissa Ricks and Shaina Magdayao are set to be in the TV remake of the 1987 movie Kambal sa Uma.
The original was directed by Joey Gosiengfiao and starred Rio Locsin, Orestes Ojeda and Al Tantay.
Melissa Ricks will play the role of Ella, who is half-human half-rat while Shaina Magdayao will be Vira.
