ABS-CBN reports that at least 20,000 people, mostly Overseas Filipino Workers flocked the Dubai Festival City to watch the “Wowowee in Dubai”.
The show is the first leg of the nontime show Wowowee’s world tour sponsored by The Filipino Channel(TFC).
Dancers Luningning, Milagring, Mariposa and Saicy, co-hosts Mariel Rodriguez, Valerie Concepcion and Pokwang and singer Charice joined main host Willie Revillame in entertaining the crowd.
Finishing the four hours of fun, games and music, Revillame sang Munting Hiling as a tribute to the thousand of OFWs who watched the live show and those all over the globe.

The Supreme Court denies ABS-CBN’s petition to stop the Department of Justice in finishing the on-going preliminary investigation about the stampede which happened in the first anniversary of the noontime show WOwowee last February 4, 2006 in the ULTRA Stadium where 71 people lost their lives.
According to the Supreme Court, “The Court resolves to deny petitioners’ motion for reconsideration with finality, the basic issues raised therein having been fully considered and passed upon by the Court in the aforesaid decision and no substantial argument having been adduced to warrant the reconsideration sought.”
Charo Santos-Concio and ten others were accused of reckless imprudence resulting to multiple homicide and physical injuries. Other respondents are Cory Vidanes, senior VP for TV Production; Marilou Almaden, Exec. Producer; and Cipriano Luspo, assistant VP and ABS-CBN Head of Security.
Also in the petition: Moly Stewart, Wowowee executive producer and manager; Harold James Nueva, associate producer for sets and technical; Norberto Vidanes, Wowowee director; Rey Cayabyab, assistant location manager and security coordinator; Francisco Rivera, ABS-CBN’s location manager; Mel Feliciano, Wowowee’s assistant director; at Jean Owen Garcia, floor director.
On the other hand, DOJ didn’t press charges to Wowowee host Willie Revillame.
